Expression Of Interest
If you want to make a difference where you live, you've come to the right place.
The Community Connections project is funded by the UK Government through the UK Community Renewal Fund. The Project is all about connecting people and collaborating to make Towyn and Kinmel Bay the best place it can be to live, work, play and visit.
We are actively looking for people to join the TKBVOICE Community Partnership which will guide and shape the Place Plan for the area, turning ideas into action, working together and listening to local people and visitors to the area.
We are looking for people with vision, and doers – residents who want to make a difference, community activists, local business people, and members of the voluntary and community sector in Towyn and Kinmel Bay who are positive, and ambitious, with a willingness to listen, to hearing different views, to collaborating and turning great ideas into action!
We are positively encouraging young people to apply and have reserved two places on the Community Partnership for people under 25. You must be 18 years old to apply.
The Community Partnership will meet monthly for up to 90 minutes and will be hosted by Towyn and Kinmel Bay Town Council. As it develops an alternative host organisation might emerge. This will be for the Community Partnership engaging with local people to decide.
The final terms will be discussed at the first face to face meeting on Thursday 31 March at 1730-1900 at the Community Resource Centre, The Square, off Foryd Road. Meetings will be a mix of face to face and online depending on the nature of the business and environment at the time.

The deadline for expressions of interest is midnight on Sunday 20 March. Applications will be considered by personnel from the Community Connections project. Helen, as our Community Connector will not be involved in the decision making process. We will contact successful applicants by 5pm Friday 25 March about our decision.
