Expression Of Interest
If you want to make a difference where you live, you've come to the right place.
The Community Connections project is funded by the UK Government through the UK Community Renewal Fund. The Project is all about connecting people and collaborating to make Towyn and Kinmel Bay the best place it can be to live, work, play and visit.
We are looking for people with vision, and doers – residents who want to make a difference, community activists, local business people, and members of the voluntary and community sector in Towyn and Kinmel Bay who are positive, and ambitious, with a willingness to listen, to hearing different views, to collaborating and turning great ideas into action!
We are positively encouraging young people to apply and have one remaining place on the Community Partnership for a young person under 25 as of 31 March 2022. You must be 18 years old to apply.

We have three places for Town and Community Councillors (Two for Kinmel Bay and one for Towyn) and one place for a County Councillor representing Towyn and Kinmel Bay.

The Community Partnership meets meet monthly for up to 90 minutes. The Partnership is hosted by Towyn and Kinmel Bay Town Council. As it develops an alternative host organisation might emerge. This will be for the Community Partnership engaging with local people to decide.
The Partnership's terms of reference were approved at the inaugural meeting of the Community Partnership on 7 April and can be found here. It is assumed that by expressing interest in joining the Community Partnership that you are accepting to abide by these terms. Meetings are a mix of face to face and online depending on the nature of the business and environment at the time.
If you are interested, please complete the online form here on the page.

The deadline for expressions of interest is midnight on Sunday 22 May. Applications will be considered by personnel from the Community Connections project.
Helen, as our Community Connector will not be involved in the decision making process. Nor will the Clerk of Towyn and Kinmel Bay Town Council. We will contact successful applicants by 5pm Tuesday 24th May about our decision.

All members are expected to attend the third meeting of the Community Partnership on 26th May, at the later time of 1900, because of our community consultation event that day.
